DETAIL
The optical fiber is placed in a loose tube. The fiber can have between 4 and 12 cores within the tube. The tube filling compound is used as a water-blocking element. Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) is bundled together for tensile strength. This is an economical and compact design to replace GYFTY in a stranded configuration. The cable is finished with a PE or LSZH jacket.
