Product Introduction
Solid bare copper conductors. Marked PVC insulation. Ripcord for easy jacket stripping. Gray PVC jacket. Meets CAT3 electrical requirements. Used for telephone system wiring, it is the minimum cable required by the FCC for new residential construction to ensure broadband capabilities. Cat 3 cable can be used for network installations, although it has been largely abandoned for this purpose in favor of the higher speeds offered by newer Category 5e and Category 6 cables.
