  • Product Introduction

    Aixton indoor telephone cables are manufactured with tinned or untinned electrolytic copper conductors, fully color-coded PVC, and a gray PVC outer jacket.

    Features

    Conductor: Solid annealed bare copper 0.5 mm according to British standard BS EN 60228.

    Insulation: The conductors are uniformly insulated with PVC according to BS EN 50290-2-21. Insulation color code according to Table 1.

    Twinning: two insulated conductors are twisted together to form a pair.

    Arrangement: The required number of pairs are assembled together according to Table 2 to form a cable core

    Sheathing: A polyester tape sheath is provided around the cable core for cable sizes of 8 pairs and above.

    Sheathing: The cable is sheathed in PVC according to BS EN 50290-2-22. A rip cord is provided for easy cable stripping.

    Applications

    These cables are suitable for installation in facilities/buildings for use with the binary number system, customer distribution schemes and with pulse code modulation (PCM), according to the following construction methods:

    1. Layer construction: for general installation at customer premises where a good appearance is required

    2. Construction of a 16-pair unit: for use with the binary number system

    3. 20-pair unit construction: for use with customer distribution schemes

    4. 30-pair unit construction: for use with the pulse code modulation (PCM) system
