The arc-type drop fiber optic cable, used for indoor or outdoor installation, includes central optical fiber(s) with two parallel FRP (fiber-reinforced polymer) strength members on either side. It is easy to strip and splice, simplifying installation and maintenance. The non-metallic strength members withstand tensile loads. The optical fiber can be single-mode and high-silica material (according to ITU-T G652D, G657A1, and G657A2 recommendations).

The FTTH drop cable uses special low-flex-sensitivity fiber, providing high bandwidth and excellent communication transmission properties. Two parallel FRP strength members ensure good crush resistance to protect the fiber. It features a simple structure, light weight, and high practicality. The innovative flute design makes it easy to strip and splice, simplifying installation and maintenance. It also boasts low smoke emission, zero halogens, and a flame-retardant jacket.

Applications

The FTTH outdoor drop cable is a new type of fiber optic cable. It is a butterfly-shaped cable. Because it is small and lightweight, it is suitable for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) applications. It can be cut to the required length, increasing installation efficiency. The unique figure-eight structure of the drop cable allows for faster field termination.
