Indoor FTTH drop cables are used inside buildings or homes. At the center of the cable is the optical communication unit, with two parallel, reinforced non-metallic steel/FRP/KFRP wires acting as strength members, and surrounded by an LSZH jacket. Indoor FTTH drop cables have the same function as standard indoor fiber optic cables, but with some special features. These indoor FTTH drop cables are small in diameter, water-resistant, soft and flexible, and easy to install and maintain. Specialized indoor FTTH drop cables may also meet requirements for lightning protection, rodent resistance, or waterproofing.
