    The fibers of the GYFXY 250µm fiber optic cable are placed in a loose tube made of high-modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filler compound. Water-blocking material is applied over the tube to maintain a watertight seal. Two parallel fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) layers are placed on either side. The cable is then completed with a polyethylene (PE) jacket.
