Unshielded loose-tube fiber optic cables are designed to provide a high fiber count with the flexibility and versatility needed for today's most demanding installations. They feature fiber counts up to 288 and SZ strand designs for easy mid-rung access.
1. Loose tube: thermoplastic material, containing optical fibers and gel filling.
2. Central strength element (CSM): Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) rod, coated with polyethylene when necessary.
3. Filling elements: thermoplastic rods.
4. Longitudinal water blocking material: cable filling compound.
5. Cord
6. Outer cover: black polyethylene
