More information
Product Introduction
The GYTS optical cable is a steel tape armored fiber optic cable designed for outdoor use. It features a central metal reinforcement element, a loose tube construction with a waterproofing compound, a double-layer polyethylene jacket, and corrugated steel tape armor for enhanced mechanical protection. Suitable for aerial, duct, and direct burial installations, it guarantees durability, moisture resistance, and high tensile strength.
Features
Steel Tape Armor: The corrugated steel tape provides crush resistance and mechanical protection against external impacts.
Loose Tube Structure: Fibers housed in gel-filled tubes that block water prevent moisture from entering.
Central Resistance Element: The metallic reinforcement guarantees high tensile strength and anti-elongation.
Double Layer Coating: The inner and outer layers of polyethylene (PE) offer UV resistance and environmental durability.
Flexible Installation: Suitable for overhead installation, in ducts or directly buried, with an adaptable temperature range (from -40 °C to +70 °C).
Applications
Aerial Deployment: Suspended between poles with anti-buckling support for large-scale telecommunications networks.
Direct Burial: Buried underground (1-2 m deep) with shielding resistant to soil pressure and rodent damage.
Duct Installation: Laying in ducts for urban fiber trunk systems, protected from moisture and corrosion.
Rugged Terrain: It is used in rocky areas, wetlands or frozen areas due to its resistance to temperature (from -40 °C to +70 °C).
