DETAILS
Lightweight shielded loose tube braided cable (GYTS)
The 250 µm fibers are placed in a loose tube made of high-modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant material.
Filler compound A steel wire, sometimes coated with polyethylene (PE) for high fiber count cable, is located in the center
of the core as a metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are braided around the strength member in a compact, circular shape.
