DETAIL

ASU cable is a loose-tube braided cable. The 250µm fibers are placed in a loose tube made of high-modulus plastics. The tubes (and fillers) are braided around a non-metallic FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) core as a central strength element within a compact cable core. After the cable core is filled with filler compound, it is covered with a thin inner PE (polyethylene) sheath.

Features

2. Excellent AT performance, the maximum inductive voltage at the operating point of the AT sheath can reach 25 kV;

3. Lightweight and small diameter which reduces the load caused by ice and wind and the load on towers and supports;

4. Large sections and the largest section is over 300 m;

5. Good tensile strength and temperature performance;

6. The design life is 20 years.
