Product Introduction

Category 5e (CAT5e) cable, also known as enhanced Category 5, is designed to support full-duplex Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet. The main differences between CAT5 and CAT5e are found in their specifications. Performance requirements have been slightly increased in the new standard.

1. Conductor: 24AWG (0.50 +/- 0.05mm) Solid/stranded bare copper, CCA, CCAG, CU, 22/23/24/26AWG

2. Wiring: 4 twisted pairs wired around a cross-shaped central filler in the cable core.

3. Color: black

4. Pair insulation: polyethylene, 0.90 +/- 0.05 mm HDPE

5. Cable outer diameter: 6.0 ± 0.2 mm

6. Funda: PVC + PE doble chaqueta

7. Options: Jelly filling, CMR, CMP fulfillment is available

8. Operating temperature: -20°C to +75°C

Applications

Used as a workstation for FD/IDF and other horizontal cabling, compatible with TP-PMD audio, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), ATM 155Mbps, 1Gmbps TPDDI, Fast Ether-net, etc.
