It can withstand harsh outdoor environments. It has several mechanical and environmental characteristics, including pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and tensile strength. The fiber optic unit is located in the center. Two parallel fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) are placed on either side. A steel wire is added for extra reinforcement.

A strength member is also applied. The cable is then completed with a black or colored LSZH sheath.
