When the connector is disconnected, the shutter closes automatically, leaving the fiber end face dust-free and blocking potentially damaging laser beams. Both the SC and E2000 connectors use standard UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) single-mode connectors. These SC-E2000 single-mode fiber optic patch cables are suitable for carrier equipment, telecommunications, field patching, and CATV applications.
