In GYTC8S cable, single-mode/multimode fibers are placed in loose tubes, which are then twisted together around a central metallic strength member into a compact, circular cable core. Water-blocking materials are distributed within the interstices of the core. After applying a PSP/APL around the cable core, this section, along with the twisted wires acting as support, is encased in a PE sheath to form a figure-eight structure.
