This particular cable is a solid gray UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable. The individual conductors are solid 23 AWG (US wire gauge) pure copper. Pure copper conductors provide the best possible signal. The Cat6 cable includes a groove to help ensure proper separation between the pairs, limiting crosstalk. Our Cat6 Ethernet cable exceeds the EIA/TIA-568.2-D standard.
