The SST OPGW with aluminum cladding is a new type of optical cable that inherits all the advantages of the SST OPGW.
By extruding a layer of aluminum from a stainless steel tube to form an aluminum-clad stainless steel tube, this structure can reduce electrochemical corrosion between different metallic materials. It is often used for retrofitting old wiring, low-voltage lines, and in corrosive and highly polluted areas under coastal chemical environments.
The fiber is well protected by mechanics and thermodynamics.
Excellent side current capability and excellent short-circuit current capability.
Optical fiber is not under tension when subjected to the maximum permissible tension.
A single layered braided cable provides excellent mechanical and electrical properties.
Match with common ground wires.
1. The optical fiber composite ground wire [OPGW] is suitable for installation in new power lines with
Dual function as a ground and communication cable. Especially suitable for installation in standard and
Extra high voltage power lines. OPGW can replace the conventional ground wire of the old power line with
They enhance the fiber's communication capabilities. They conduct short-circuit current and provide lightning protection.
2. OPGW cable is mainly used in 500kV, 220kV and 110kV lines, limited by power outages, safety and other elements, mainly used in
New lines. Their applications are: high pressure above 110kv, with a larger span (normally above 250M).
