The optical fiber composite overhead ground wire (OPGW) is an overhead ground wire containing optical fiber. It serves multiple functions, including grounding and optical communication. It is primarily used for 110kV, 220kV, 500kV, and 750kV communication lines and the new high-voltage overhead transmission system. It can also be used to replace existing ground lines in older high-voltage overhead transmission systems, add optical communication lines, transmit short-duration current, and provide lightning protection. Other structures can be customized upon request.
