DETAIL

Category 6 (CAT6) cable provides higher performance than CAT5e and features stricter specifications for crosstalk and system noise.

The quality of data transmission depends on the performance of the channel components. To transmit according to CAT6 specifications, connectors, patch cords, patch panels, cross-connects, and cabling must comply with CAT6 standards. CAT6 components are tested individually and also tested together to determine their performance. Furthermore, the standard mandates generic system performance so that CAT6 components from any vendor can be used in the channel.
