All ADSS dielectric self-supporting fiber optic cable is a loosely stranded tube. The optical cable transmits signals in the form of optical pulses and uses glass or plexiglass as the network transmission medium. It is primarily composed of a fiber core, cladding, and coating. Bare 200 µm or 250 µm fibers are placed inside a loose tube made of high-modulus plastic.
