The fixed fiber attenuator is made of high-precision, standard blue powder. It is used in various fiber optic transmission lines, offering high attenuation accuracy and stable, reliable performance. Its performance characteristics are independent of wavelength variations, allowing it to function as both an adapter and an attenuator. It is suitable for low-speed fiber optic distribution frame network systems, low-speed fiber transmission systems, and high-attenuation applications. Fixed fiber attenuators can be categorized as flange-type or yin-yang type, and as SC, ST, FC, LC, etc., depending on the model.

Different specifications can be customized.
1) Control power level: The output power of the local oscillator is controlled in the microwave superheterodyne receiver to achieve the best noise figure and conversion loss for optimal reception. Automatic gain control is implemented in the microwave receiver to improve dynamic range.
2) Decoupling component: acts as a decoupling component between the oscillator and the load.
3) Relative standard: as a relative standard for comparing power levels.
4) Travel attenuator used in anti-jamming radars: This is a variable attenuator with an abrupt change in attenuation. It does not normally introduce attenuation. When it encounters external interference, the attenuation suddenly increases.
From a microwave network perspective, the attenuator is a two-port lossy microwave network component. It is a microwave pass component.
