ADSS cable is a loose-tube, stranded cable. The 250 μm fibers are placed in a loose tube made of high-modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filler compound. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a non-metallic FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) core, which acts as a central strength element, within a compact, circular cable core. After the cable core is filled with filler compound, it is covered with a thin inner PE (polyethylene) sheath. Following the application of a braided layer of aramid yarns over the inner sheath as a reinforcing element, the cable is completed with an outer PE or AT (anti-tracking) jacket.
Low attenuation and dispersion, and special control of the upper length ensure good transmission performance in variable environments.
Excellent mechanical performance
Good flexibility and bending performance.
Small outer diameter, lightweight and compact construction.
Applicable to long-distance, inter-exchange communication, CATV, computer network transmission systems, and more
