The cable core consists of color-coded fibers, dry water swellable material, color-coded loose tubes, PE filler (if required), SZ braiding around the central dielectric strength member with water-blocking yarn(s).
1. It can be installed without cutting off the power;
2. Excellent AT performance, the maximum inductive voltage at the operating point of the AT sheath can reach 25 kV;
3. Lightweight and small diameter which reduces the load caused by ice and wind and the load on towers and supports;
4. Large sections and the largest section is over 1000 m;
5. Good tensile strength and temperature performance;
6. The design life is 30 years.
All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) cables are designed for self-supporting aerial applications over short, medium, and long distances. ADSS cables offer a fast and cost-effective way to deploy fiber optic cables along existing aerial rights-of-way. They are being deployed by cable television operators, telephone companies, municipalities, and emerging network operators, as well as electric utilities.
