    The FTTH drop cable is placed in the center. Two parallel fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) shields are placed on either side. A steel wire is also applied as an additional strength member. The cable is then completed with a black or colored PVC/LSZH jacket. A typical self-supporting arc drop fiber optic cable consists of a GJXFH/GJXH cable and an additional strength member (steel wire or stranded steel wire).
